DZIANIS RAMANIUK

Born in Minsk in 1970. 1988 graduated from the ‘A. Akhremchik’ Belarusian National School of Music and Figurative Arts.
   1988 – 1992 studied at the Belarusian Academy of Arts.
   1992 – 1995 studied at the Vilnius Academy of Arts and worked simultaneously as a photographic artist for the weekly ‘Nasha Niva’ in Vilnius.
   In 1994 had a one-man exhibition ‘Grafika’ [Graphics], Lithuanian Cultural Foundation.
   1995 won second Prize at the ‘White Art’ national exhibition/competition Belarus
   1995 – 1999 lecturer at the Belarusian University of Culture
   1996 personal exhibition ‘Mroi’ [Dreams] at the National Museum of History and Culture of Belarus.
   Since 1996 he has been a member of the Union of Artists of Belarus, and since 1998 a member of the Belarusian Association of Journalists.
   1997—2001 worked on the preparation and publishing of the monograph of Mikhas Ramaniuk ‘Belarusian National Crosses’
   2001 one-man exhibition ‘Self-Portrait, with a Backdrop of Vilnius’ in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Minsk.
   2001 – 2002 preparation and Publication of the album ‘Belarus’.
   2002 Three top prizes in the Belarusian national competition ‘The art of the book’, for the preparation and publishing of Mikhas Ramaniuk’s monograph ‘Belarusian National Crosses’.
   Dzianis Ramaniuk works as a photographer, artist and publisher.
   Since 1994, his work on the photo-portrait of the Old City of Vilnius has held a significant place in his creative work.
